Hmmmm... (1) is my winner. I think (2) would look quite nice if they removed the character and shifted the sword to be under the tree.

I wish companies would do these kind of things for more games.

Go Kaz go! He seems like he just gets 'it'. Really hope Sony does well with him at the helm.

Is is that you don't like mixing, or is it you are afraid you will spend 30 hrs. enjoying mixing? =)

Actually you can lose weight playing WOW. When one of my friends discovered the game he wouldn't leave his room to eat! Needless to say he quickly lost about 15 pounds... before learning about 3 am deliveries from Jimmy Johns.

Looking at all of the images on the website the top image is sharper than the bottom. It's not just the 3D models that are blurry, but also the 2D health elements. Every image looks like a blur filter was placed on top of the 360 image. Which frankly is bizarre. Those kind of effects are typical of the quincnux anti-aliasing used on a lot of old ps3 games, hence my comment.

I didn't notice when I flipped through earlier the missing or diminished textures in pic 7 ...

As much as I hate to admit, online passes do have merit. When companies like BEST BUY have enormous used game sections - I am sickened. This isn't just an issue about the consumer buying the game used, rather it is the growing trend that large companies are killing smaller devs by selling used games.

I don't think of GameStop as the place to go for new games. Rather it is a used game store that happens to also sell new games. To go step further, in my mind it is t...

What's up with the 360 version? I expected the PS3 version to be blurry, not the other way around.

Don't worry Yoichi Wada has FF XIII-3 up his sleeves to combat consumer expectations.

The improvements you talk about aren't part of the core mechanics that are required of the console or handheld. As an owner of only psp-1000, having less memory never prevented me from enjoying a game. Likewise hdmi or wifi on the xbox 360 gave alternate options for the existing features of network play and video output.

However, adding an additional control method such as a second analog will prevent existing users from playing future games. ...

Majora's Mask was amazing. I haven't seen too many games out there that choose to take such a risk as that of the 3 day cycle. It was interesting to see how all the NPCs in Terminia played out their daily routines. I also loved their darker or more mysterious direction they took with the game. Loved the masks also.

Oh and the Happy Mask Salesman still remains one of the creepiest characters from Zelda.

Sony you are doing launch games all wrong?!?!
I'm not suppose to like them all!

Game development is different than it use to be. People might complain about the trilogies, but many of the games that will probably come out in the future will have been envisioned as multiple games from the beginning. Sure, this might lead to things like Call of Duty or Assassin's Creed with no end in sight, but good developers like Naughty Dog might use a game like The Last of Us as a watershed for games that require multiple games for a fantastic story.

Many games a...

Essentially, a remake means no Final Fantasy XV for 4-5 years during the time all assets are funneled to the remake. While I would like to see Final Fantasy VII remade, do I want to sacrifice one of the few big games they make during that generation? At least Square Enix acknowledges that a FF7 remake isn't just a cash grab like FFX-2 or FFXIII-2.

However, I disagree with Kitase's comment about how PS1 era games are incompatible with PS3 era games. If I were to con...

Don't forget Xenoblade!

I came to this article just to see if other people were bringing up the issue about Xenoblade, The Last Story, and Pandora's Tower. Nintendo of America, you piss me off.

You have some good points Why o why.

When I was younger and completely dependent on my parents I would pirate a lot more. That was the only way I would ever get to play many things. Now that I am older and pull a bit of an income, I have lost much of the will or need to pirate. I am one of those now who will go out to buy more niche games from smaller studios at release in an effort to ensure that I will see future games from those companies.

It's kind...

I really wish they would put Xenoblade on the list and make sure it wins a bunch of awards to kick Nintendo in the a$$ for being so obstinate. I will likely import that game within the next month from the UK if I don't hear any word from Nintendo.

The same goes for The Last Story. Why would you NOT bring games over to the US if they have or will be localized for other English speaking countries.
